My website includes various galleries of my pottery work. I have divided the galleries into Learning Years, Growing Years and Decorative Pottery.
GALLERY 1
Gallery 1 includes pottery made during my Learning Years, 2011 through 2014. I spend these years learning how to make basic shapes, such as cylinders, bowl, cups, and pots with lids. I did not spend much time exploring the world of glazes.
GALLERY 2
Galley 2 includes pottery made during my Growing Years, 2015 through 2019. During these years, my skill of throwing pottery had improved enough so I could throw just about anything I desired. I started to spend more time learning about glaze and glazing techniques. I learned that glazing was an immense part of making pottery. Yet, the most important part is the ability to throw pots full of life and vitality. A pot with a great form can be glazed with any glaze and still look great!
DECORATIVE GALLERY
The Decorative Pottery gallery includes pottery pieces that I made off the wheel. This type of pottery is referred to as hand-built. I am planning to learn more about the world of hand-building and create some clay pieces that can not thrown on a wheel. There are only a few pieces in the gallery. But, I plan on filling the gallery with many hand-built items.
CURRENT YEARS
Gallery 3 includes pottery made during my Current Years, 2020 to the present. I hope you enjoy my new creations!
